Both the food and the ambience were really good. We had channa masala, chicken pakora and ghee rice, all three were too good.

Oh my gosh, I just hit the jackpot - RUSH Royal Indian Curry House is my new favorite spot! The owners of this hidden gem on Pine Ave in downtown Long Beach are the same masterminds that used to own the Indian Restaurant Belmont, and let me tell you, I was beyond stoked when I heard they were opening up shop. Originally, they were going to set up camp on the corner of Linden & 1st, but plans fell through and they ended up at 242 Pine Ave - lucky for me! My wife and I decided to take a stroll and stuff our faces last night, and wouldn't you know it, Bubbly the owner greeted us like old friends. I knew the grub would be on point from the get-go. We went all out and tried two appetizers, two breads, two entrees, and two desserts - and let me tell you, everything was mind-blowingly good. The decor was super inviting, flavors were popping, presentation impressive, prices were reasonable, portions were satisfying, and the service was top-notch. Bubbly went above and beyond to ensure we were having the time of our lives, took the time to chat, and welcomed us back with open arms. Very good food, the depth of flavors was better than other Indian restaurants we have been to. The chicken biryani was as delicious as other reviewers have described. We also got the lamb saag which was wonderful.

An authentic Indian restaurant in the heart of Long Beach—something I feel we’ve really been missing! The place was opened by an experienced Indian restaurateur who had been running another Indian restaurant for over 12 years. When his friends decided to open a new spot, he took the lead—and he’s doing an excellent job. The food is absolutely delicious! Truly authentic Indian cuisine—just like what I had while traveling in India. You can choose your spice level from 1 to 10. I enjoy spicy food, but I went with a 3, knowing that “spicy” in Indian terms can be seriously intense :) And I was right—level 3 was perfect! The tikka masala was incredibly flavorful with just the right amount of heat. The basmati rice and garlic naan are simply amazing. Honestly, you could order just the rice and naan, and it would still be a fantastic meal! The service is excellent, and the atmosphere really stands out compared to other places in the area. Calm Indian music, a quiet setting, comfortable and colorful furniture—it all creates a great vibe. Anyone who loves Indian culture and cuisine will really enjoy this place. I think it would be great if they added a section with traditional low seat
